FashioNation Fashion Week 2010 Recap!

"The Takeoff"

Last week here at Texas State University FashioNation hosted it's 2nd annual fashion week. It was beautiful! The week was full of different events everyday all centered around Cancer Research and Awareness.

Friday night the "Bald is Beautiful" event was held at Mink Salon. It showcased "bald" models in dramatic makeup and embraced the beauty in being bald and was meant to encourage cancer patients and survivors to push through, keep the faith and dream BIG!

Saturday was the big day. "The Takeoff" Fashion show was held at the San Marcos Municipal Airport. WWII airplanes surrounded the runway as 1940's themed student models strutted in Betsy Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Saks plus many more and even collections from the two founders of FashioNation...Dominque Bedford and Melarie Benson. It was stressful, fun, chaotic, exciting and SO worth every minute of hard work that was put into it. FashioNation is amazing and everyone should be on the lookout for what we have in store for the next school year! :)
