What a magnificent production!
So much detail in every look...in every pair of hand-crafted wings and impeccably perfect timing!
I can't even begin to imagine how much time and meticulous planning it takes to pull off something like the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!
This video puts it a little into perspective...

These are just a few of my favorite looks from the night.

That body paint was SICK!

Cavalli, Cavalli, Cavalli

These pictures from Roberto Cavalli's 40th Year Collection are absolutley intoxicating!
Each one is like a sweet treat for the eyes lol...

"To celebrate his 40 years in the business, the designer is putting out Roberto Cavalli, a collection of images, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, of some of the world’s most beautiful women in his clothes"

Lovin' Lanvin!

I know I've been neglecting my blog but school is keeping me extremely busy... However when I saw these Lanvin dresses I HAD to make sure you saw them too!

(insert "WOW" here)

Aren't they just AH-MA-ZING!
The movement is so incredible...and with the wrinkles and draping it kinda makes them look like little beta fish lol

Funny Bunny

So tell me something...is this bunny-eared bow headband becoming a trend for the average person? Sure Madonna, and the Olsen twins have sported them on the red carpet, but now are these quirky headbands now accessible to me and you?!

Headbands with jewels, feathers and bows have been popular for some time now but it seems to me people are taking it one step further.

Louis Vuitton first introduced the trend in his Fall 2009 RTW show.

And if the look is something you fancy you don't have to spend a fortune on a luxury pair. I've seen the cute head toppers at stores like Claire's, Asos.com and Topshop.com
asos.com

My only question is where exactly is it appropriate to wear these antennas...out on the town? special occasions?? Halloween???
Would YOU dare to resemble a hare, or is the look a bit to Gaga for you?

Fashions of The Hills

Last night was The Hills finale and all the cast members came out to party one last time...but like always some dressed to impress while others...not so much.
 Let's see some fashion!

Ok so what was up with Jessi's (the host) green dress. She looked like a lettuce wrapped mermaid. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh...what did you think?

I thought Stacy looked like she got her dress from the stripper store. The shiny metallic material is just cheap looking...it might have been acceptable for a place like Vegas but not here.
UGH why am I being so mean?!?
anywho...

Oh and let's not forget JB with his high-water pants showing off his bettlejuice inspired socks LOL

Can you spot them in the pic below???

Now Whitney looked quite fresh and lovely in her airy water-colored Mathew Williamson dress. Very different from all the other ladies in their skintight minis....must be a New York thing...or maybe just a Whitney Eve thing :)

Not to mention her bold gold earrings were fabulous!

....and last but not least, the girl who started it all...Lauren! I thought she look beautiful in her long-sleeve, bare-backed Mandalay number. And her chic pony gave her the perfect polished look!

What did you think of the finale???

Pretty Little Things

Here are just a few fierce fashions that have caught my eye recently...

First is this ultra chic neon and leopard clutch by Jimmy Choo. Neons are very "in" this summer and this little luxury is a perfect fit for the season.

Next is SJP wearing McQueen's beautiful butterfly creation to the 2010 CFDA awards.
The colors, cut and fabric of the dress give it a perfect fluttery effect.

now although both the clutch and dress were amazing....they are not so afforable...but these next two are!

I found this cute foil lip graphic tank and adorably cute owl tote both from Forever21

Too cute!...which are your favorites?

Now is it just me or does she look a bit photoshopped???...shame on Elle if she is

anywho...here are a few other pix from the Elle photo shoot.
Love the dark drenched lips...can't wait for the issue to hit the stands!

Stars Step Out for the Movies

At this years Cannes Film Festival & amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala the stars came out in thier best (or worst) outfits.

First off we have Eva Mendes looking a bit unfortunate in this belted moo moo-ish leopard dress...if you can call it that. Such a shame...she's so beautiful and I usually enjoy what she wears.

However, Marion Coltillard looked quite chic in this nude number giving it a 1920's flair with the long bead necklace and retro hairstyle.

Now Rachel Bilson made a questionable decision when she decided to wear this Chanel Haute Couture dress accented with starburst boobs :\
Aren't pasties supposed to go under your clothes???

Ok let's end on a good note. Jennifer Lopez has been looking pretty hot everywhere she goes lately and this was no exception. The Roberto Cavalli dress is sweet and a lovely color against her bronzed skin, but I also really love her hair and overall look. Fabulous!

FashioNation Fashion Week 2010 Recap!

"The Takeoff"

Last week here at Texas State University FashioNation hosted it's 2nd annual fashion week. It was beautiful! The week was full of different events everyday all centered around Cancer Research and Awareness.

Friday night the "Bald is Beautiful" event was held at Mink Salon. It showcased "bald" models in dramatic makeup and embraced the beauty in being bald and was meant to encourage cancer patients and survivors to push through, keep the faith and dream BIG!

Saturday was the big day. "The Takeoff" Fashion show was held at the San Marcos Municipal Airport. WWII airplanes surrounded the runway as 1940's themed student models strutted in Betsy Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Saks plus many more and even collections from the two founders of FashioNation...Dominque Bedford and Melarie Benson. It was stressful, fun, chaotic, exciting and SO worth every minute of hard work that was put into it. FashioNation is amazing and everyone should be on the lookout for what we have in store for the next school year! :)

Click link below for a video of highlights from the show!

Also Congratulations to the 2010-2011 FashioNation E-Board!
