Goodbye NY!....for now :)

Now that NY fashion week has commenced I have chosen a few of my favorite looks from some of the top shows :)

There were so many amazing collections & it was hard picking only a few, but these ESPECIALLY caught my eye. I can see many of these styles and trends hitting the stores this fall and I can't wait!

Jill Stuart
I really loved the jewel tone pieces...probably my favorite overall from fashion week ♥

I love how this military insipred Dennis Basso dress looks like liquid metal! Don't you!?!

Michael Kors
I can't get enough of the overgrown knits :D

Nicole Miller...
very sexy, very New York.

Badgley Mischka
sophisticate, cool, comfortable

I enjoyed how Nanette Lepore's line was very young, fun & wearable!

Elie Tahari
For me, this collection is the epitome of autumn.
So chic!

What were some of your favs???

New York Fashion Week ♥

So NY Fashion Week started last Thursday and a few of my favorite collections so far are by DVF and Luca Luca! Both of these designers showed their collections on Valentine's Day which was perfect because they are LOVE!

Lauren's Floral Affair

Lauren is looking like a true fashionista in this month's Seventeen mag. Both of these outfits are über cute and are a nice change from her usual safe fashion choices. The Chanel inspired jacket with the floral gloves is SO chic! I think she looks just lovely in that raspberry colored skirt, not to menthion her jeweled chunky bangles and turquoise polish....this definitely gives me some spring inspiration! ♥

Inked in Coco

These are so COOL!
Temporary Chanel tattoos that appeared on the runway at her Spring/Summer 2010 show. They are set to be available for purchase next month at Chanel.com. A set of 55 tattoos will run about $75-80. Kinda pricey for something that fades with soap and water....but hey its Chanel!

Grammys 2010

Ok so award season is officially here! This means TONS of red carpets and TONS of fashion hits and misses...it's always more fun to critique the crazy ones lol
Now the Grammys red carpet is a little different than the others. It allows celebrities to be a little more fun and daring with thier outfit selections. First let's start with some of my favs of the night :]

Keri Hilson was one of my top picks. The silhouette and creamy pastel color is very flattering on her and the rhinestone belt adds the perfect amount of sparkle, dont you think!

Beyonce. Now her first dress I did not care for too much but after she performed and swung the heck out of her hair she slipped into a jewel drenched silver mini which I found to be HOT HOT HOT. I loved the padded shoulders, plunging neckline and thoes chunky earings. Now that's a Grammy dress!

I guess I have a thing for neutrals and sparkle because Pink's dress was fabulous. I have to admit it looked a lot better on tv than it does in the picture...but hey thats not her fault.

Others that I found that hit the spot were...Melody from the PCD (again much prettier on tv), the lovley Heidi Klum, and Glee's Lea Michele.

Now for the "Did you actually think you looked good in that?" section...
Fashion crime number one commited by miss Katy Perry.
I know she was inspired from her recent trip to India, but the skintone color is just not flattering and thoes gold floweres make her look like a bottle of marc jacobs perfume :\

But I think the worst of the night was Ciara...
I mean really...she is a gorgeous girl, why would she do this to herself. This woman needs to get a stylist, and if she has one that chick should be fired!
Oh and dont think i forgot Gaga! We expect no less from Lady G and she gave us what we wanted
Good-for Gaga
Bad- for the poor sucker that had to sit behind her or next to her for that matter
Ugly- You decide.

Welcome to Rags&Rouge :)

Ok so I have decided to start a blog...mostly about beauty and fashion (just a few of my favorite things). It is simply random thoughts and opinions about fashion trends and the industry in general. I am new to this so bear with me...and follow pretty please! ♥
